Open to learners from all backgrounds, this course does not require traditional engineering skills. Instead, it focuses on the clear and creative use of language, making it particularly appealing to those studying English, languages, humanities, and social sciences.

During this course, you will:

Get acquainted with OpenAI’s ChatGPT: This learning experience will help clarify and demystify ChatGPT and large language models (or LLMs) for beginners. If you’ve been using ChatGPT but have yet to understand how it works, we’ll fill in those blanks.
Evaluate prompt responses and consider the idea of responsible prompt engineering: ChatGPT and LLMs aren’t magical or infallible. This course will give you a framework (RACCCA) to evaluate prompts. We’ll also introduce you to "responsible prompt engineering.” Every prompt that ChatGPT receives gives it further input, so we need to consider the questions we ask and the information we give ChatGPT.
Develop prompt engineering skills: The central part of this course is learning how to get better responses from ChatGPT through prompt engineering. We’ll show you different ways to ask questions, formulate follow-ups, and get the most out of ChatGPT’s capabilities.
